Great room photographed from the doorway angle

How many photos does a listing really need?

Ask ten photographers how many photos a listing needs and most will say 25 to 35. That number comes from what is convenient to shoot and edit, not from how buyers browse.

Buyers do not stop at 25 photos. They keep clicking until they are satisfied: the bedroom from the doorway and from the opposite wall, the inside of the closet, the view back through the door into the hall. When the photos run out before the questions do, buyers fill the gap with doubt, and doubt does not book showings.

Sequence is a sales tool

Count is only half of it. A pile of 70 random photos is worse than 30 well-ordered ones. Photos should read as a tour: impact shots of the front, then room to room through the doorways, out to the backyard, then up and away with the drone.

That is how ipixx builds every session. An Ultimate Session delivers 60 to 80 photos, sequenced the way a buyer would walk the home. We photograph for the buyer, not the agent, and we sell the space, not the furniture.

What to ask your photographer

Before your next listing session, ask:

  • How many photos are actually delivered, and is that every room, every angle?
  • Are the photos delivered in walking order, or alphabetical chaos?
  • Do doorway angles and reverse angles come standard?
  • What happens above 2,500 sq ft?

If the answers are vague, the media will be too. See what a full ipixx session includes on the rate card, or call 561.969.8465 and compare.
